ATTRIBUTED TO FERDINANDO POGLIANI, 1832 - 1899, A LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE 19TH CENTURY ITALIAN RENAISSANCE BREAKFRONT EBONISED AND IVORY INLAID ARMOIRE/ WARDROBE
The broken pediment above a large single mirrored door flanked by a pair of panelled doors decorated with classic maiden above three drawers, raised on a plinth base, the Inlaid decoration overall with scrolling foliage, facial masks and mythical beast and birds.

N.B. Ferdinando Pogliani (active 1860's and 1870's) worked with his sons Paolo and Carlo in his workshop in Borgo di Porta, Vittoria N.81, Milan. He later had a showroom in the elegant Via Monte Napoleone and won prizes in several leading Exhibitions becoming one of the cities leading cabinetmakers
