CHRISTOFLE, GROHÉ FRÈRES AND EUGÈNE GUIGNARD, A FINE AND RARE PAIR OF 19TH CENTURY FRENCH EXHIBITION QUALITY CARVED ROSEWOOD AND GILT BRONZE MOUNTED CABINETS
The serpentine marble tops above a single drawer and a pair of panelled doors set with oval silvered plaques decorated with putties in a landscape, above a shaped apron carved with flowerheads, raised on scrolling feet the plaques signed ‘CHRISTOFLE’, the back panel ink stamped ‘Guignard’, cabinets attributed to Grohé Frères.
